JUNIOR BOARD & MENTOR PROGRAM APPLICATIONS NOW OPEN
We are excited to announce that applications for the 2nd term of our Junior Program are now open! This is your chance to join a dynamic group of young leaders and mentors who are making a real impact through SoBa Cares. Our Junior Board (ages 12+) leads events, volunteers, fundraises and through community outreach and engagement proves that kids helping kids can change lives. Our Mentor program (ages 15+) pairs upper classman high schoolers with younger peers to guide, inspire and grow together.
If you are passionate about giving back, building leadership skill and being a part of a team dedicated to empowering youth, we encourage you to apply. Applications will close October 25th, followed by an interview round with an outside panel to make final decisions.

Hoops for Hope
Our first-ever Hoops for Hope event was a resounding success — and it’s all thanks to you.
From the energy on the courts to the generosity in the stands, our community came together in an incredible way to support SoBa Cares and our mission to empower youth through sports and service. With your support, we raised critical funds for After School Matters, helping to create opportunities for teens in our community.
Whether you played, volunteered, sponsored, donated, or cheered from the sidelines — your involvement made a difference.
We’re so proud of what we accomplished together and inspired by the spirit of “kids helping kids” that fueled this event from day one. A special shoutout to our Junior Board for leading the charge and showing us all what passionate young people can achieve.
Thank you again for being part of something so meaningful. We can’t wait to bring Hoops for Hope back even bigger next year!
